It’s official! Yesterday Angel and I purchased my wedding band from Zales. We were shopping at the mall with our two kids and his younger sister (who is one of my BM’s) and just decided to pop into Zales to see what they had to offer us. I cannot tell you how seriously beautiful this ring is. I can’t even put into words the sparkle the diamonds give off. It’s gorgeous and complements my engagement ring wonderfully. I’m the happiest girl in the world =)

I have been totally slacking on my blog this week I apologize. I have been picking up shifts at work so that we have everything we could ever want at our wedding and are not stressing last minute to gather funds for it. Some good news is that our cameras for our reception tables came in the mail this week as well as my garter! Also, I just ordered another part of the gifts for each of my bridesmaids. Other than that we are awaiting a WHOLE bunch of little things for the wedding which should be arriving over the next 2 weeks, and we’re closing in on the 5 month mark!
Centerpieces

Angel and I have been thinking of unique ideas for table centerpieces at our wedding. This is what we were able to come up with, with a few small changes. The crystal stones at the bottom will be pink, and we will NOT be using the glitter. I think it goes with our heart theme beautifully. Also on the tables will be 5-6 lit votive candles in glass holders and a sprinkle of rose petals. What do you think?
Trickling in!
We have been very busy online lately ordering things for the wedding. About a week ago I ordered inserts for my bridal shower invitations from VistaPrint.com so that I wouldn’t have to put two different sized inserts in there, one from BB&B and the other from Macys. They turned out so cute, I designed them myself and am attaching a picture because I am so in love with them!
In addition, I found a website called weddingchannelstore.com that was having an amazing sale and it finally helped me figure out what I am going to get for my 2 MOH’s and 4 BM’s. Which I am so happy about because I have been struggling with this for a very long time because I have such a large bridal party I really can’t go crazy with expensive things. I can’t tell you what I got them because some follow my blog, and for that I love them because they’re probably the only ones that read this silly thing, so I am going to have to leave that a mystery until our rehersal dinner. I can tell you however that I did also find our table cameras for our reception at the same site for only $2.99 per camera. Is that amazing or what? Seriously, I love this site. And they even come with little folding tents to let the guests know to take pictures for us. You can check them out here! The last thing I was able to order from that site was my garter because they were selling it for $6 less than another company I found had it for. Ahh, I love getting a good deal =) It’s a set of two, so I’ll be able to have one to throw and one to keep, and it’s going to be my something BLUE!
Snow Day!!
We woke up in South Jersey to a scene that was very reminiscent of the Blizzard of ’96. I was totally syked to take my little guy out to play in the snow, have a snow ball fight, and build a snow man. While his little brother was quietly napping we were able to have some fun outside and enjoy the cold weather! Here are some pics to enjoy. I just cant help it but the second picture reminds me so much of the little boy from A Christmas Story, lol!
My reason for being busy!
One for us moms!
I found this article on one of my parenting forums that I belong to and could not believe how perfectly written it is! In the article there is the argument that us moms “embellish” how busy we are during the day and how we “claim” that we are too busy to take just 5 or 10 minutes to call or email friends to keep in touch, when friends who are “kidless” (yes i made that word up) live just as busy lives as either SAHM’s or moms who work out of the house and then come home to their children. The next time you are wondering why you haven’t heard from your friend who has one or more children think of this article. I realize you can’t view the whole thing on my page because it’s too large, but if you click it you will be directed to my photobucket where you can see it in its entirety. Please read and be enlightened.
Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
So I was leaving work a few days ago and I was picking up Mcdonalds which has become my son’s favorite thing to eat, and the most ironic scene unfolded right before my eyes. There was a man in front of me driving a brand new Toyota Prius. You know the “electric hybrid vehicles” that are supposed to use less gas and be better for the environment. Anyway so this guy is waiting for his food at the window and he proceeds to hang his hand out while holding a plastic juice bottle. At first I thought he was going to wait for the Mcdonald’s worker to open the window and he was going to ask her to throw it away for him. Apparently she was either taking too long to respond to him, or his plan was different than I though all along. This guy had the plastic bottle dangling from his hand for about a minute and then proceeded to just drop it on the ground, as if it was nothing. HELLO! Your driving an eco-friendly car and you’re going to litter! What’s the point? I just had to share this story because I thought it was hilarious! And that my friends is what we call irony.
Feeling: accomplished!
Angel and I forced ourselves to sit down tonight and FINALLY pick out an invitation and order them! We thought we were finished with this process sometime back in January but no, I kept looking around for the best deal, and the invitation that fit us the best. This one is perfect and it goes along with our “Twin Hearts” theme. Since we were feeling ambitious we also went ahead and ordered our toasting flutes, cake topper, and guest book pen to complete our set which you can look at here. And for me the icing on the cake was ordering my wedding band AHHHHHHHHHH! It’s absolutely gorgeous and a FULL CARAT! I’m such a lucky girl =)
Reconnected
I am officially connected to all of my friends and family again, YAY! After going to a AT&T store to deal with the hassle of my blackberry and its shenanigans everything is squared away. I never thought this day would come again. Now if I could just figure out how to change my theme on it…
