I’ve been M.I.A. for a few days, but with good reason. Our 2 year old has been at Abuela’s house since Sunday night and I have been spending some much needed quality time with big Angel. Even though we still have Ayden with us, it has still been a relaxing week for the two of us. In fact we forgot how easy it is to just have one child haha! Moving right along I’ve got a lot on my “To-Do list” this week while my 2 year old is gone. I want to shampoo the rugs, go through all of baby Angel’s toys and toss the majority of them to get ready for his birthday next month, and I want to try to get my house as organized and clean as possible. Which I don’t know how easy that is going to be considering us and our children are slowly outgrowing this townhouse of ours. I literally have a 5ft trampoline in my livingroom from Angel’s Tio from Xmas. I’ve got a big uphill climb ahead of me, wish me luck!

Going green
While sitting in the Pediatrician’s office today I was reading the latest copy of Parents Magazine and came across an article about “Going Green.” Every time I read one of those articles they seems so fresh, so sheik and so easy-to-do. I would love to be one of those mother’s pictured in the article creating her own after school snacks from 100% organic food that my kids love to it. The reality of it is though, it seems like it feels like so much work to go green. What little experience I have had with organic food it either tastes absolutely horrible or is more expensive than regular food. Don’t get me wrong I am all for feeding my family the healthiest food out there so they can be strong and live healthy lives, but sometimes I wonder what all the hype is about. I mean we grew up on fast food, red meat, slim jims, and gummi worms and we turned out okay didn’t we? I mean yes I get understand landfills, the ozone, and pollution but sometimes I think it gets out of hand! Perhaps I will take the small dive into this “greenness” that is sweeping our country and pick up reusable grocery bags during my next market trip. I’ve been meaning to pick them up anyway, I hear you can fit soooo many more groceries in there than the plastic bags!
My RX!
My new stress reliever? The Steam room at the gym! It is gloriooooous. It is silent. It is all that helps me to keep my sanity these days. Seriously- go try it!
Ayden’s Baptism
We had our youngest son baptized March 8. I’m just now getting to posting pictures because I couldn’t find my camera the day of, due to worrying about all the details of the day, so people are just now emailing me pictures of the ceremony. It was a wonderful day spent with friends and family in the church that we recently became members of. Enjoy!

5 Months
Ok, I seriously feel like a little kid a couple of days before their birthday party. 5 months, really? I remember when Angel and I sat down after our old roomates wedding back in August and were determined to set the date for our wedding. Now we’re coming into the home stretch. I am starting to get very anxious. Almost everything we need for the wedding at this point has been ordered, and is being shipped to our house as we speak. We actually were able to find a florist within our price range and she is amazing too. It seems like everything is coming together seamlessly at this point in our wedding planning lives. I couldn’t ask for a better love of my life to marry either! ~Soulmates~
Update
Our wedding invitations finallyyyy came today! They are gorgeous and look so much better with our names on them then how they do in the book lol. Also, I had my first training session at my new gym today and nearly died! I did 30 mins on the elliptical beforehand and then met with Ruthie, my new BFF, who promises to have me in the best shape of my life for my wedding and honeymoon. The best part about our gym though is that they have “kid care” where I can drop my two little ones off for 2 whole hours and work out in peace. OMG, kid care is my savior these days! YAY for Tilton Fitness!
Comfort
I’d hate to give away too much info on here but let’s just say that I was able to purchase another part of my bridal party’s gift that will let them be more “comfortable” during our reception! Yay, another check.
Groomsmen gifts
Another check we got off our list yesterday while at the mall was all of our groomsmen gifts. Angel was able to purchase them all from Things Remembered and they are awesome looking! I don’t wanna post a picture of what it is and ruin the surprise but lets just say he did good picking them out.
Lifestyle change
Angel and I finally hopped on the “better lifestyle train” that everyone seems to be on these days. We joined a gym in our area and had our first work out yesterday, which btw nearly KILLED US! We figured with just about 5 months left until the wedding it’s perfect timing to work on our bodies. Anywho we plan on going 3-4 times a week and they offer a nursery for the children to play in while we work out, so that’s a plus. So from here on, it’s no more fast food, fried food, or Chang’s food for us. I’ll let you know how that plan works out, lol!
